Leon Johnson, DDS

Dr. Leon Johnson is interested in getting to know each patient as an individual. This means learning a bit about their background, support system, and any concerns they might have about their care. He strives to make each visit a friendly and positive experience.

Dr. Leon Johnson grew up in the San Francisco Bay Area. He earned his bachelors in Biology at the University of the Pacific, and studied masters level physiology at San Francisco State University. He then chose to head to New York University, where he earned his dental degree in 2015. After graduating, he chose to continue his clinical training of medically complex patients by completing an optional general practice residency program at Lincoln Hospital in the Bronx. From the biggest city in America, he then moved 6000 miles west to Lanai and Maui to begin working as a dentist in 2016. In the 9 years since, he has continued to educate himself on the latest dental treatment modalities, including implants, root canal therapy, cosmetic dentistry and clear aligner braces.

Dr. Johnson’s lives right here in Kailua along with his wife and mother. You may even see him jogging down Kailua road with his dog “Guava” when he’s not in the office. He also enjoys surfing, hiking, building computers and spending quality time with his family.
